BIRO ILLUSTRATIONS
I enjoy creating realistic and detailed looking illustrations which reflect the nature of each animal. Not only this, but I enjoy the challenge of working with biro as it leaves no room for mistakes and it creates a bold, crisp image.
I first started creating biro illustrations when I set up a pet portrait business after leaving school. This has allowed me to improve my skills and really get to know this medium. I also had to capture the personality of each pet which really helps to bring the images to life.

Mixed Media Illustration
I used ballpoint pen to create detailed drawings of a weaver bird and Blue Morpho Butterfly. Then I used watercolours to showcase the bright colours. Finally, I used ink pen to add detailed foliage in the background.
