Drawn to Light is a stop motion animated short film. The story follows a small moth who is unhappy with the chaotic and dangerous life of being addicted to artificial light. After an intriguing discovery, the moth sets off on a journey to break away from the crowd and find happiness. 

This was my final graduate project for my Illustration BA (hons) course at the University of Portsmouth and was largely created during the 2020 lockdowns. I combined various skills including illustration, model making, animation, printmaking and photography. I started by developing my story through storyboards, animatics and concept art, and then made all the detailed models, props and backgrounds. As well as this, I animated, edited and created the sound. The music was specially composed by Emma Turner.
