This one has been a long time in the making (too long!) but I’m really pleased with how it turned out. I first started making him back in 2021 after researching about folklore in the UK. I became really interested in the Cockatrice, a creature that is part cockerel and part dragon. 

Made from a mix of materials including wood, recycled upholstery foam, liquid latex and felt. I also created the wings using plastic film that was being thrown away. I wanted to experiment using new materials and I like to use secondhand and upcycled materials.

He has posable features including folding wings, moving eyes, replacement beaks and moving body. I hope to create some animations soon!
